Chasing the Wind

She's been running after things that'll just pass away,
Things that mean something yet nothing...
The chase of attaining all that her flesh desired and her eyes lusted for.

Will she ever get happiness after accomplishing all that I've ever wanted? Temporary happiness? Happiness that lasts within a time frame?

What's the use then of gaining the whole world and losing her soul?
Yes, she tends to forget the One who is the source of everything she's attained so far!
Yes, she gets caught up with herself, her wants, and her dreams!

In the end, if there be the truth she's seeking, that will be two.
One, that she will always be hungry. Hungry for what her eyes see, hungry for what her heart desires, and hungry to quench her soul.
The other, she's lost and misguided, seeking and chasing only to satisfy that hunger while that hunger can only be satisfied by the One who created her.
